Impulse is very different from classic animation engines, using a velocity parameter for the bulk of the movement calculations between two states.
This is different from classic animation tools which use time durations and easing functions to create custom movement paths between the start and end points, that look and behave the same every time.
Because Impulse uses the user's action velocity (swipe, drag, etc.) to create the animation sequence, all movements feel fluid and behave like a real-life continuation of the user's interaction.
Impulse doesn't use CSS3 transitions or hardware-accelerated animations, relying on JavaScript-powered animations that render properly on a multitude of browsers.
